Giles and Helen’s ceremony took place at The Flint Room Norwich. A perfect quirky venue for a perfect quirky couple. And it was just perfect.
The icing on the cake was not only working in one of the best venues in Norfolk – nay, the world – and to laugh with Trish and Lesley (above) but I finally got to work with ace photographer Richard Jarmy.
You know that feeling when you gel – it’s like you read one another’s minds. On this day, the venue, the celebrant and the photographer all gelled! Typified by a beautiful shot of his – I knew it would be because I watched it happen. Small child wanders out into the aisle – Richard catches my eye – I pause – he takes the shot from knee height and its a stunner!
OK. Back to the couple. I met Helen when she was editor of Norfolk Muddy Stilettos. She interviewed me in fact. The article started something like ‘if I were to get married I’d want Dawn to be my celebrant’. Two years later, I was!
We laughed till our sides ached. We cried. We hugged and hugged again. It was simply magical. And just as beautiful as it looked in Richard’s photos.
